Bill 18 - press release

This year we commemorate 30 years of activity of our Slovak Screen and Digital Printers Association – SZSDT  in the Slovak Republic.

In the pleasant surroundings of the ESPLANADE Ensana Health Spa Hotel Piešťany, Slovakia  SZSDT organized in cooperation with the Czech Association ASD on 20-21 October 2023 the 18th International Seminar for Screen and Digital Printers - Bill 18.

There were presentations by top European and Slovak experts in the field of screen printing, digital printing, advertising and management.

The invitation was also accepted by the ex-president of FESPA and our colleague Mr. György Kovács, Hungary, Mr. Christian Duyckaerts, FESPA Past-President, the FESPA Head of Associations and Technical Lead Mr. Graeme Richardson-Locke UK together with FESPA representatives Jesica Arruda, Associations Manager and Lily Ward, Associations Executive and other representatives of FESPA Associations. Participant from 9 countries met at the Bill 18 Seminar.

The Bill 18 seminar attracted 92 participants – screen and digital printers and suppliers as well. It was gratifying that the invitation was also accepted by the students and teachers of the School of Art Industry in Trenčín and teachers from the Middle Industrial School in Zlín, Czech Republic.

The participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the results of the worldwide survey FESPA Print Census 2023, as well as with an important area of ​​development of printing companies, such as the involvement of the younger generation (Youth Engagement) - as potential employees - in the printing industry.

The main topics of Seminar Bill 18 include the presentation of Mr. Ľudovít Karpinsky  from TYPOSET Bratislava, SK on the topic of color management and new solutions in digital printing.

Traditionally, the Bill 18 seminar includes an important social part - an informal meeting of members of the virtual free country BAČALAND - during which prominent participants and VIP guests of the Bill 18 Seminar were honored with membership.

The evening continued with bowling accompanied by the musical production of the famous OLDIES Piešťany musical group.

The second day of the Bill 18 Seminar was devoted to the best practice sharing. Leading printers shared valuable information and interesting technological details in the field of screen printing and digital printing with those present. We appreciate that the secondary schol students of ŠUP TN also participated in this highly technological and professionally focused part. 

In addition to a wide range of interesting theoretical lectures given by domestic and foreign lecturers, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest technologies and machines presented by our suppliers - members of SZSDT - companies e.g. Antalis, Kasi, TEPEDE, Spandex, NANOTEC and M&P.
